The Note Never to be Found

It was the note that held all the answers, which is why it was the priority to find, but Jacob couldn’t let on that it in fact sat in his front pocket.

He feigned the frantic search with everyone else, trying his best to push aside the heartbreak of his mother's sobs - their mother’s sobs. But the seconds seemed to tick slower than ever. He just wanted to be out of there so he could burn the letter and live with the truth – himself only.

He was protecting his mum, but she would never understand if she knew the truth.
